Croaker and his friends were impatient with the old fool who kept after them. "Wait, wait!" the old man would cry. "It is important that you listen! It affects all of us!" Drunk, Croaker thought. "It has to do with Khadi's Banner!" wailed the old man. Every one Croaker's friends' heads swished towards the old man. Twelve eyes studied him suspiciously. Croaker said, "What do you mean, old one?"

All knew that the Standard of Khadi was their most prized possesion. When I was a mere youngster, the Village was raided. The family of Khadi was slain, as well as most everyone else, and the Standard stolen. The Raiders fly the Banner in their camp. Please recover it. I beseach you recover the Standard from the hands of these murderers. Go to the Town at the crossroads, there you will find out where the raiders are."

Tulkus looks about at his companions, "I will go, for a power like the Standard of Khadi should not be in the hands of hurderers and theives. Who will go with me?"
